What are Refurbished phones?

Refurbished phones or iPhones are devices that are pre-owned by someone else in the first place and then sent back to the manufacturer because the person might not like the phone or there might be some minor physical damage.

There are mainly three categories under it:

  1. New phone with a minor technical issue which is fixed like a new phone again and sent back for selling.
  2. Old phone with minor physical damage that had gone through quality checks and came out like a new phone again.
  3. Brand new phones that are opened and sent back to the manufacturer come under the category of refurbished phones.

Typically, they are 20-30% (depending upon the brand and condition) cheaper. It is a better option for people who tend to buy different phone models frequently!

One important factor to consider when buying it is the physical condition of that phone. You want to be sure the refurbished device you're buying is in good condition and won't come apart in a week or month, whether it's an iPhone or a smartphone. The good news is that there is a grading system in place to determine the physical condition of a phone before you buy it.

The three grades make up the full grading scale system.

Grade A is the very best quality you can expect, Grade B is the second-best quality you can expect where products have some light scratches or scuffs, and Grade C is the lowest quality that you can expect, but that doesn't mean the phone isn't working, the phone comes with 100% working condition, but the previous owner used that phone too much or heavily daily.

All these terms represent that you are not the original phone owner, and it had previous owners. The owner might have returned it to the store or the network carrier. The phone might not be broken as many buyers return the phone after just unboxing it because they didn’t like the phone. In other cases, the situation can be like where there is some manufacturing defect in the phone, and later it is fixed.

There are some vital things to look at before taking the plunge. While buying a refurbished phone, look for trusted and certified phone resellers, check that phone warranty, and read other documents like whether you can’t return the phone or you won’t receive any refund after returning the device that you buy and other things before paying a huge amount for the same.

At Mobex, each phone passes through an extensive refurbishment procedure by our skilled experts to ensure that they perform correctly and ready to use for people. We offer a 1-year warranty and good rates for your favourite smartphone.
